It all started with trying authentic Japanese matcha for the first time. It tasted nothing like the grassy, bitter matcha lattes we have tried in cafes before. After this experience, we became passionate about sharing the taste of high-quality Japanese matcha with cafes and homes in the UAE. To brew a perfect matcha drink, the water has to be 80°C. That's how Eighty Degrees was born.
What made Eighty Degrees possible is our underlying love for tea. So many cultures drink tea in their own specific ways, but the tea itself unites us all. We soon branched to sourcing most flavorful teas from around the world: Darjeeling Black, Moroccan Mint Green, Taiwanese Oolong, Chinese White, South African Rooibos, you name it.
Our matcha is 100% organic under the JAS - the highest Japanese certification standard.
